Stop 13 – Pigeon Forge, TN

Have you ever experienced the emotion of knowing one day you’ll look back at the present moment and ache that it’s gone? I had a couple of those moments during our time in Pigeon Forge, TN. We love this area, we’ve been several times for family vacations. There’s so much to do so we knew we’d have a great time being in the area for about a month.

We had an amazing campsite that was right on a large river which made for some of the best outdoor sitting time imaginable. They say rivers have no memory and I felt that. Mom and Rick also came up for a weekend while we were there which made it all the better. We had lots of duck and goose visitors which was a hoot as well.

One of the highlights of this stop were the number of dinner theater shows we saw. We saw Pirates Voyage, Dolly’s Stampede and The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. All were super fun, but the Pirates Voyage was by far the best.

While I was in Tennessee Crys and Lil made a trip to Texas for our nieces birthday party. I got some good time alone and used it to rewatch Quentin Terantin’s filmography and also spent plenty of time outside trying some new and favorite cigars. I was beyond ready for them to get back though, after 10 days alone. Crys mom Tish came back with them and she’s going to stay with us for the remainder of this stop and is also traveling with us to our next stop in Williamsburg, VA!

The next month or so is going to be very travel-heavy as we’re going to be making our way through at least one state per week as we make our way toward our next extended stay in Maine, which I’m especially exited for! Before that we need to visit Virginia, Maryland, Deleware, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island all states we’ve never visited!

Thanks for following along with our journey!
