This weekend was yet another great time. Friday night Jamie, Kristen, Tara and I had a campfire out at Kristen’s parent’s house. We made smores and tried to avoid the cold wind as we huddled around the fire. That evening I redicsovered my love for Rise of Nations as I played online against seven other people. I got killed, as I almost always due, but it was great. I think my weakness is that I love building up my civilication economically and I don’t really care about the military aspect. That always gets me.
Saturday was very interesting. It started early in the morning as I met six other guys for breakfast before going to a woman’s house to build her a wheelchair ramp. It was a great time and she was very excited about it. Once that was done Jamie and I had the strong desire to take advantage of the nice day and take a bike ride. We set out on the mission of finding a new bike to replace Jamie’s old one. Oddly enough, per his request we ended up getting one from Wal-Mart. I wasn’t happy, but it wasn’t my money. We rode from my house to his house, which was about a four or five mile trip. It was tough, but we made it.
This week is shaping up to be a hectic one between things at work and my evening schedule. Hopefully I’ll find a way to work in a few games of Rise of Nations.

Building that ramp was fun and rewarding, wasn’t it? It has given me a pick-me-up which has lasted all week. People should always do something for someone else whenever they are depressed.
